TB appears to be more of an issue that latent TB (although there is some change from late 2007) whilst QuantiFERON is dominating both latent TB and the non skin test sectors.
Remarkable that given its consistent high rate of mortality TB continues to slip under the radar;
Worldwide, we estimate that the largest potential available market for a new TB diagnostic would be for a test that both detects latent infection and predicts progression to active disease (767 million patient evaluations/year).
