IDSA have looked at the 2011 budget and are not happy, saying
that they
have seen how cuts in critical funding for federal health agencies have devastated the lives of Americans and people around the globe. Although the cuts now being proposed by House leaders may appear "penny wise," we believe they are "pound foolish."
When it comes to TB they are more than just
"unhappy" We are disappointed, however, that the budget proposes a decrease in domestic tuberculosis (TB) funding at a time when multi-drug resistant TB (MDR-TB) remains a serious threat.
